This is a game prototype for learning sign language, made fun!

Here is my reflection article:

I learned from the project that 3D art is very difficult for a programmer, and either hiring an artist or finding your own free assets is about the only way to go about it without getting an Art Degree or spending serious time working on making art. I overcame the difficulty of making a game centered around education, something I was not able to wrap my head around during the beginning of the semester. I might revisit this idea for a further project, but for now I am tabling it and using it as a proof-of-concept game.

From this experience, I learned a bit about sign language itself, obviously, as well as making a game that isn't just about fun. It was interesting trying to incorporate fun into learning, which isn't what many people think is fun. I feel as though I could have done better in the aspect of finding the objects, instead of just walking up to them, however I thought the shiny objects would be alluring to children. Working on my own let's me do whatever I want, however there is the fact that I can not dedicate another task to anyone but myself. I can still find resources on the web for art and such, however. I usually undertake projects on my own, so it would not be much different now.
